Apex Clean Energy is selling its Midway Wind LLC subsidiary to Sammons Renewable Energy for an undisclosed amount.
Midway Wind is a project under development with plans for construction of 47 Siemens wind generation turbines north of Corpus Christi in San Patricio County, not far from ERCOT‘s South Hub.
The project is expected to have a total capacity of 162.9 MW with an anticipated commercial operation date of December 2018.
Price of the sale was undisclosed.
Dallas-based Sammons said the deal closed this week, with CEO Heather Kreager adding that, “by continuing to work with Apex Clean Energy, who will manage construction efforts, we are confident this project will be a valuable asset in our growing renewable energy portfolio.”
Sammons Renewable Energy is a subsidiary of Sammons Enterprises.
