The turbines at the Bearkat I wind farm in Glasscock County, Texas, are revving up to begin.
Global Wind Service says it’s installed the final Vestas V126 turbines at the new wind farm, each built to generate 3.45 MW of electricity.
The Denmark-based company said the 197 MW project is almost ready to go online, with the turbines being energized along the 30,000 acres of private land.
The wind farm is owned by Copenhagen Infrastructure II K/S and was developed by Tri Global Energy.
Global Wind Service area manager Michael Nielsen said his company is looking forward to more US renewable energy projects.
