The West Texas state senate race for District 31 is growing heated as endorsements come in.
State Senator Kel Seliger has the approval of the Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association PAC as the longtime incumbent goes up against former Midland Mayor Mike Canon and businessman Victor Leal in the March 6th primary.
Seliger said he’s “honored to have the support of such a strong advocate for hard-working families in the cattle industry like the TSCRA PAC”
Leal gained the endorsement of the Hispanic Republicans of Texas PAC recently.
“Victor will fight to lower property taxes, improve education by empowering parents and teachers, and defend the life of the unborn. His family’s story and entrepreneurial spirit are a great reflection of these values,” Hispanic Republicans of Texas Board Chairman Mano DeAyala said in announcing his support.
Last month, Canon’s candidacy was endorsed by Young Conservatives of Texas which Canon called “an honor.”
“With so much at stake in this election, it is encouraging to have the support of one of Texas’ most reputable conservative organizations,” Canon said.
