March 2, 2018

Cheniere Energy’s Corpus Christi export terminal has given the go-ahead to train 3 and could start producing its first liquefied natural gas (LNG) this year, the company said this week.

Construction of two 7 billion-cubic-feet-per-day units at Corpus Christi is more than 80% complete, director of origination for Cheniere Marketing in Singapore Douglas Wharton said at an LNG industry conference in Singapore, according to Reuters.

Cheniere has given limited notice to general contractor Bechtel Corp. to construct a third LNG processing facility at the Corpus Christi export site, San Antonio Business Journal reported this week.
