Customers of Entergy Arkansas will see “significant bill reductions” under a plan filed this week to pass along benefits from the federal tax cut approved by Congress late last year.
The plan is now undergoing the approval process by the Arkansas Public Service Commission.
It would result in an average savings of $20 a month for each 1,000 kWh used by residential customers starting in April.
Entergy said the plan runs through 2019.
“Because of the lower federal corporate tax rate, some of Entergy Arkansas’ future tax obligations, which are a component of customers’ rates, have been significantly reduced,” the company said.
