Houston’s EDP Renewables North America is partnering with Indiana’s Hoosier Energy Rural Electric Cooperative Inc. for the state’s biggest solar farm.
The 200 mW Riverstart Solar Park is expected to begin operation in 2022 with the ability to power about 37,000 homes.
Under their new agreement, Hoosier will receive 100% of the power generated at the farm for the next 20 years.
EDPR already has more than 800 mW being pumped out by wind farms in Indiana, and is working on another 200 mW farm expected to go into service by the end of this year.
