Energy Transfer Calls Open Season On Pennsylvania Mariner East Portion

Sunoco Pipeline is gauging interest by shippers in the Mariner East pipeline system, which is almost completed.

The company said the Mariner East 2X project will enhance NGL transport from the Marcellus Shale play to the east coast.

The Energy Transfer LP subsidiary has called an open season for natural gas liquids for the line from the Pennsylvania Marcellus and Utica plays to the Delaware, Marcus Hook and Claymont destinations in that state.

The Marcus Hook destination is near Philadelphia, an end point that includes extensive storage capacity for Mariner East 2 pipeline, which will have a capacity of 275,000 barrels per day upon completion next month.

The original Mariner East 1 is transporting propane and ethane, and has been online for four years
