Rustler Breaks Pipeline System Open, Allows NM Wellhead Production Delivery To Midland

San Mateo Midstream‘s Rustler Breaks Pipeline System is in service from New Mexico, allowing delivery to Texas, the company says.

The gathering and transportation system from Eddy County, NM includes 17 miles of 10-inch crude oil pipelines to an interconnect with Plains All American infrastructure, under a strategic relationship announced earlier this year between subsidiaries of the two companies.

San Mateo is a JV between Matador Resources Co. and Five Point Capital Partners.

The arrangement allows crude to flow to Midland, with other destinations possible, under a Joint Tariffs agreement.

San Mateo lists Matador as an anchor client, but says the pipeline system is “sufficient to support growing volumes from…other producers without significant additional capital investment.”
