New ways of reducing pollution from Texas sources are the focus of a grant program offered by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, and now the deadline to apply has been extended.
The New Technology Implementation Grant program, set to close applications by December 14th, will now accept applications until January 14th, 2019.
Aobut $3.6 million is available for grant projects that reduce emissions from stationary sources in Texas, such as upstream and midstream oil and gas completions, production, gathering, storage, processing, and transmission activities.
Also needed, the agency said, are advanced clean energy projects involving the use of hydrocarbons (including petroleum coke) and new tech to reduce regulated pollutants.
