A prominent petroleum engineer is among Governor Greg Abbott‘s choices for the Texas A&M University System Board of Regents.
Houston’s Jay Graham is a member of the Texas A&M School of Petroleum Engineering Industry Advisory Board, College of Engineering Advisory Council, 12th Man Foundation Board of Directors and the Chancellor’s Century Council.
He has a Bachelor of Science in petroleum engineering from A&M and is listed as chairman and CEO of the new Texas-based Spur Energy Partners.
Also nominated by Governor Abbott for the board is Fort Worth car dealership owner Mike Hernandez, the dealer principal of Four Stars Chevrolet Buick, Four Stars Ford, Four Stars Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram, and Four Stars Toyota.
And Michael Plank of Houston, chairman and CEO of The Plank Companies, which is in the Entrenching Machines business / industry within the Industrial and Commercial Machinery and Computer Equipment sector.
Plank holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from A&M and was a Distinguished Graduate of the Mechanical Engineering department in back in 2000.
The nominations are subject to approval by the legislature, with their terms to expire February 1, 2025
