NextDecade Founder Has Died

The founder NextDecade has died at the age of 58.

Kathleen Eisbrenner was also chairman of the board of the Houston-based liquefied natural gas company.

Details on her death have not been released.

President and CEO Matthew K. Schatzman said in a statement, “all of us at NextDecade are fortunate to have known and worked with Kathleen over the years and remain firmly committed to the realization of her vision.”

She founded the company in 2010 and led it through its listing on the Nasdaq nearly two years ago.

Previously she had worked on the global LNG portfolio for Royal Dutch Shell.
